The City of Greater Shepparton has allocated some State Governmant grant money being $120,000 to the Murchison to Rushworth Railtrail and also $55,000 to the Dookie Railtrail. The $120,000 will be spent on the reconstruction of the old wooden heratige rail bridge (above) that is about 2km west of Murchison. Extensive work has to be done on this bridge before the rest of the trail could be completed. This is good news for the groups (including our Bug) who have lobbied for many years to finally have work on this railtrail about to start. Many thanks to all the people who have attended meetings in the past and have offered their support for this project.
